Ruth M. Harvey

Ruth M. Harvey, of Holmen, WI, passed away on October 26, 2026, after a good, long life, peacefully in her sleep. Ruth was born on November 25, 1920, to Roy M. and Elsie Greenwood in Evansville, WI. Graduating from Winona High School in 1939

After Ruth wed Jerrold F. Harvey, and they wed on July 15, 1939, going on to have 5 children: Marie C. Griffin (Duane), Jeanette K. Harvey, Jerrold L. Harvey, Sue Hull, Lee A. Harvey (Janet), Kendal R. Harvey (Cheryl). She had six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

After retiring, Ruth enjoyed Sewing, Rock collecting, and traveling. After Jerrold's passing, she moved to La Crosse and volunteered at the South side senior center, where she enjoyed playing cards. She was a lifelong member of Pickwick Mill.

Ruth was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in La Crosse.

Ruth was predeceased by brothers Raymond, Marvin, Harley and Leroy Greewnwood and Sisters Winnie Papenfuss and Tena Jertson, her husband Jerrold, son-in-law Duane Griffin son Jerrold, and daughter Jeanette. And adopted grandson Jamie Harvey. She is survived by daughter Marie, sons Lee and Kendal.

Services for Ruth are being held Friday, October 30, 2026, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Pickwick, MN. Visitation one hour prior to the 11:00 am service. Burial at Pickwick Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Mt. Calvary Church, St. Luke's Church, or a charity of your choice
