Sally K. Raymond

Sally K. Raymond, age 86, passed away peacefully on March 2nd, 2026 at Hearten House of La Crosse, with her family by her side.

Sally was born January 6th, 1940 in La Crosse, the 2nd daughter to William and Cora Eckart. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, La Crosse.

Sally graduated from Central High school and it was there that she met her future husband Russell Raymond. Sally went on to school in Madison with her sister Judy, and graduated as a medical technician.

Sally and Russell were married April 2, 1960 and celebrated 52 Years before Russell’s passing in 2012. They were blessed with 2 sons, Michael and Mark whom she cherished.

Sally was a hard worker and worked numerous jobs during her life. She was a lab technician at Gundersen Lutheran until she became a mother. Sally also worked along side Russell at some of his construction jobs and earned the name “Goddess of the tar trowel!!”. Sally also worked with each of her sons at different jobs both in catering and food truck endeavors. Also worked many years at Baus catering. She was never afraid to lend a hand whenever she was needed.

Sally and Russell had huge gardens in the backyard of their home and everyone benefitted from their enormous harvests! Sally also loved flower gardening and had beautiful rose gardens in her yard. Gambling at the casino was always a favorite for Sally and she loved going with family and friends. Always a fun time for all even if they didn’t win! Sally and Russell also enjoyed golf and traveling to visit Judy in Florida. Sally and Judy loved spending time together and going on great adventures!

Sally is survived by her sons, Michael (Lori) Raymond and Mark (Sue) Raymond, grandchildren, Rosie (Ethan) Blank, Abby (Jeremy Juen) Raymond, Ashley (Darren) Witt, and great-granddaughter, Isla Mae Blank. She also is survived by niece Deb (Steve) Porter, and Tom (Tanja) Felton and their children.

She was preceded in death by her husband Russell in 2012, her parents, her grandsons, Zachary and William, and her sister, Judy Felton.

A memorial gathering will be held Thursday, March 12th from 2-4 pm at Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home, 200 West Avenue S., La Crosse, WI.

Sally was a spunky lady who will be greatly missed.
