Shirley Tollefson

Shirley F. Tollefson, 92, of La Crosse, died on Sunday, October 22, 2017, at Bluffview Memory Care in Holmen.
She was born on September 6, 1925, in La Crosse, to Lionel and Elsie (Scheel) Gardiner. She worked in the office at Gateway Transportation for many years and then in the mailroom at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center before retiring.
Shirley was an avid dog lover throughout her life and was especially fond of her last two dogs, Maya and Callie.
Shirley is survived by two sons, Robert Tollefson of Onalaska and Richard (Julie) Tollefson of Madison, Wis.; a daughter, Nancy Scott of Apex, N.Car.; three grandchildren, Jake, Alexa and Megan; and one great grandson, Evan.
Private family services were held at the Garden of Peace Mausoleum in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park.
