Steven Howard Kreutzer

Steven Howard Kreutzer, 69, of Caledonia, MN, died on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at his home. He was born on February 13, 1957 in La Crosse to Howard and Helen (Howe) Kreutzer. He was a graduate of Aquinas High School. He married Joanne Niedfeldt on May 19, 1979 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Onalaska. Steve worked at Metz Baking for 25 years, Century Foods, Inland Printing and Caledonia Haulers. He enjoyed playing cards, hunting, fixing vehicles, spending time with his grandkids, and spending time on his farm.

He is survived by his wife Joanne, three children, Theresa (Lucas) Foellmi of Brownsville, MN, Melinda Whitacre of Onalaska, and Joseph (Malarie) Kreutzer of Houston, MN, eight grandchildren, Seth, Alex, Cody, Layne, Logan, Macy, Morgan, and Josie, his sisters and brothers, Karen (Gary) Alden, Joan Huber, Eugene (Patty) Schams, Jr., Sue Schams, Chuck Schams, Tom Schams and Mary Schams. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father Eugene Schams, Sr., and a sister Kathy Herbeck.

A gathering for family and friends will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of La Crescent, 111 So. 3rd Street. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, La Crosse.
