Susan Kay Ingalls

Susan Kay Ingalls (62) of La Crosse, WI passed away with her family by her side on July 31st, 2026 after a three-year battle fighting cancer.

Susan was born on February 12th, 1964 to Calvin & Sheila Schwartz in La Crosse, WI. After graduating from Central High in 1982, she went on to study accounting at Western Wisconsin Technical College.

After graduation, she landed her first job as an accountant for Wettstein’s, until they closed. She went on to work for Credit Bureau Data and ended her career with The Family and Children's Center.

In 1980, Susan met Rick, they had one child, and in 2008 they were wed.

Susan spent her time with family and friends. She loved nature, being in the woods, hiking, going on trips, deer hunting in her earlier years, planting and taking care of flowers, spending time at the cabin, having bonfires and watching the sunrise and set waiting for the full moon.

She was a caring mother and wife who always put others before herself right up until the end. She loved watching others succeed and was an inspiration.

Susan was predeceased by her Grandparents, and parents.

She is survived by her husband Rick, daughter Sueanne, and three sisters, Karen (Louis) Giertych, Carol (Terry) Schulze, and Ann Klein.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to First Ev. Lutheran School.
