Susan Ann (Knutson) Wuensch

Susan Ann Knutson Wuensch, 71, passed away on October 7, 2026 in La Crosse, WI. She was born on January 17, 1955 to Derald and Jean Knutson.

Susan’s kindness, compassion for others, and passion for life were contagious. She was always a helping hand and willing to serve others in need. She took challenges in stride and radiated resilience. She was an unstoppable force.

Susan loved all things plants and flowers. Her “jungle” at home showcased her passion for growth and caretaking. She loved to have beautiful flowers in her yard and reminisce about joyful memories that surfaced.

Susan’s greatest joy in life was her family. She devoted much of her life to being a source of warmth, strength, and humor as a mother and grandmother. She lived for her family and her pride for them shined through her eyes when she spoke about them. She will be deeply missed.

Susan is survived by four children: Betsy (Eric) Klingelhofer, Jonathan (Laura) Wuensch, Mathew (Tiffany) Wuensch, and Kimberly (Michael) Hagmann; her four siblings: Julie (Jim) Fuchs, Michael (Kim) Knutson, Bill (Sharon) Knutson, and Jerry Knutson; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Derald and Jean Knutson; her husband, Steven Wuensch; her son, Patrick Wuensch; and her brother, Thomas (Salu) Knutson.

Services for Susan will be at Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home in La Crosse on Thursday, October 22, 2026. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM with a memorial service to follow at 3:00 PM.
