Therese “Terri” Ann Boisvert approached life with steadfast faith and the kindest of spirits. Therese never allowed any struggle to turn her sky into a ceiling. She truly saw the best in people, had a heart that forgave the worst in people and had a soul that never lost faith in God. Therese's plans for every new day were always firmly placed in God's hands.
Born on April 27, 1960 in La Crosse, WI, Therese was the daughter of the late Walter J Boisvert and the late Joanne T (McKee). The name Therese (and variants of it) have been carried on the McKee side for generations.
Therese graduated from Aquinas High School in 1978. She then attended the University of WI-La Crosse where she received a Bachelor's Degree in pre-law and political science with a minor in Sociology in 1982. In 1985 she obtained a Master's Degree in both Education and Library Science.
Professionally, she started her career in Occupational Health at Gundersen-Lutheran (now Emplify Health by Gunderson). It was a position she held for over 22 years. Prior to that she was the Assistant Medical Librarian at Saint Francis Medical Center while obtaining her Masters. Therese then served as an Administrative Assistant to Monsignor Gorman with the Diocese of La Crosse. In 2011, she joined Logistics Health Inc. as a Credentialing Coordinator. In all of these roles she was inspired by an innate determination to utilize her skills and foster positive changes not only in her community but in her career path.
Therese was recognized as an honoree for Distinguished Humanitarian, Marquis Life Achievement Award and as a National Professional Woman of the year. Therese achieved listee status in a: Credential Who's Who Registry of National Business Leaders and from Stanford's Who's Who. Therese was a recipient of a Presidential Who's Who as well as the Marquis Who's Who in Top Professionals.
Therese was a very active member of Cathedral the Workman Church. She maintained close affiliations as a liaison to the Diocese of La Crosse, and as a member of the La Crosse Catholic Women in the role of secretary. She was also secretary of the La Crosse Deanery of the PCCW. Therese was a chairperson on the Cathedral Council of Catholic Women and was also on the Aquinas Education Committee.
Therese took on many roles in addition to being a daughter, sister and aunt. She was a godmother (Danielle Terese Erickson & Evan Boisvert), a colleague, a cousin, a niece, a friend, a confidante, a classmate, and a lifelong learner.
Therese passed away in her home, on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. Her grandparents: the Boisvert's and the McKee's preceded her in death as well as her parents, Wally and Joanne. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also preceded her in death.
Therese is survived by her two brothers, Dr. Walter R Boisvert (Mary) and their children: Nicole, Dylan, and Evan Boisvert; and Gary J Boisvert (Julie) and their children, Brandon and Brooke Boisvert. She is also survived by a sister, Sandra J Rochester and her children, Danielle T. (Dylon) Erickson and their daughter, Kataleyah Erickson and Jennifer L. Rochester and her children: Ja'Naeyah and Ja'Shayla Banks.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services (200 West Avenue South La Crosse), with rosary starting at 6:30 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral (530 Main Street, La Crosse). Monsignor Michael Gorman will officiate. Visitation will take place one hour before the service. Burial will take place at the Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum (519 Losey Blvd South, La Crosse) following the service. After burial, a meal will be served back at the church.
