Therese Schaub

Therese Margaret Mary (Rybarczyk) Schaub, 95, of La Crosse, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at the Onalaska Care Center. She was born on December 8, 1929 in Newberg Corners to Joseph and Anna (Janner) Rybarczyk. She married Sylvester Frank Schaub on June 16, 1956. Therese had worked at the La Crosse Garment Co. and was a nursing assistant at St. Joseph Nursing Home for 25 years. She also did child daycare for many years. She was a member of the Concordia Ballroom Society and the Women’s Organization at Blessed Sacrament Church.

Therese is survived by four children, Donald (Diane) Schaub, Dale (Dawn) Schaub, June Schaub and Dean Schaub; seven grandchildren, Amanda Schaub, Nicole (Ben) Oertle, Nathan Thayer, Stephanie Schaub, Brittny (Jesse) Schultz, Joseph Schaub and Cameron Schaub; seven great grandchildren; two sisters Barbara Tantillo and Carol Natvig. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Sylvester of 62 years, two sisters Jo Ann and Virginia, two brothers Bernard and Jerome.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 130 Losey Blvd. S.,La Crosse. Rev. John Zweber will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Schumacher – Kish Funeral Home, 200 West Ave. S., on Monday from 4 – 6 PM with a rosary to be recited at 5:30 PM. Visitation will continue at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the time of service.

Memorials are preferred to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church or FSPA Sisters at St. Rose Convent.
