Trent D. Lau

Trent D. Lau, 55, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025. Trent’s death has left holes in so many people’s hearts. Trent was born on March 26, 1970, to Ed and Judy (Willer) Lau. He grew up on French Island and attended Summit Elementary. Trent graduated from Logan High School in 1989 and was a member of the ski team. He loved to ski, play golf with his friends, and target practice.

In 2006, Trent suffered a stroke where he had to learn how to walk, talk, and how to do everything again. This humbled him. In 2011, he decided he did not want to live with his sister any longer, so he moved to a high-rise near downtown, where he lived until the time of his death. He loved to play trivia games, chess, and bingo – I am going to miss our Wednesday bingo games at the Bierhaus. He was frequently seen at some of the bars downtown and made many good friends while he was out. Trent loved the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badger football, and Alabama Crimson Tide – Roll Tide. He never missed a game.

Trent is survived by his sister Heidi (Tom) Allen and his nephew Brady Endres all from Onalaska, also a special aunt, Bunny. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Judy Lau.
