Vicki Lynn Larson

Vicki Lynn Larson, 72 of La Crosse, passed away in her home on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. Vicki was born February 18th, 1953 to Roy and Shirley Svoboda in La Crosse.

Vicki graduated from Logan High School – Class of 1971. She was part of the National Honor Society and was an honor student. There was one school day she was ill, her mother left her sleeping and that was the only day while attending Logan H.S. that she ever missed, and yes, she was upset.

On August 10th, 1974 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Vicki married Ron Larson. They have been married just over 51 years. One of Vicki’s greatest moments was giving birth to her pride and joy, Timothy James Larson boy, as she would say often.

Vicki’s employment included working at the BX in Cheyenne when she and Ron were living on the F.E. Warren Air Force Base, and what a sight to see was Vicki at 4’11” driving to work in a 1950 Hudson Pacemaker with manual shift. Vicki also worked at Doerflingers, Shopko Optical, and her last 22 years as a Human Resources Admin at Ace Distribution Center of La Crosse until her retirement. She enjoyed volunteering through Ace for Children’s Miracle Network for many years.

Vicki enjoyed stain glass work, pottery, and attending craft shows and fairs with her sister, Deb. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening. She also enjoyed going to plays at Viterbo, the Weber Center, and the Pump House, and attending concerts.

Vicki is survived by her husband, Ron Larson of La Crosse; son, Tim (Melodie) Larson of Byron, MN; sister, Deb Svoboda of La Crosse; and special friend, Teresa (Tree).

She was preceded in death by her parents and younger sister, Connie.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, November 9th, 2025 at American Legion Post 52 (711 South 6th Street, La Crosse, WI) from 1:00-4:00PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Children's Miracle Network.

There is never enough time for enough hugs, enough kisses, or enough “I Love You’s”.

When We Remember

You can shed tears that she is gone
