Walter C. Felt

Walter C. Felt, 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 20, 2025. He was born February 19, 1938, in La Crosse, WI, the son of Eileen (Fillner) Wright.

Walter graduated from Central High School in La Crosse. He married Jerelyn Zellmer on June 25, 1960, in Wilton, WI. Walter was employed by Trane Company for 50 years when the business was headquartered in La Crosse.

He is survived by his son, Greg and his children, Jaymeson, Nola and Ayden of La Crosse (and their mother Jen Bantle); his daughter, Susan, and her son, Christopher, of Onalaska; his brother, Terry (Barb) Felt of La Crosse; sister, Jane Kruck of Greenback, TN; brothers-in-law, Lowell (Arlys) Zellmer of Janesville, and Stan (Ruth) Zellmer of Kendall; and many nephews, nieces and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Jerelyn; and brother-in-law David Kruck.

Although a quiet man, Walter enjoyed his pets, both feline and canine, fireworks, reading the paper, documentaries and family get-togethers.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025 from 4 – 6 PM at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 907 Sand Lake Road, Onalaska.
