Xavier Dexter Ooga Moseti, 21 of La Crosse and Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin passed away on January 31st, 2026, unexpectedly.
Xavier was born September 14, 2004 in La Crosse, Wisconsin, the son of Jade Ann Moseti Henneman (Wisconsin, USA) and Macsborran Moseti Ooga (Nyamira, Kenya)
Xavier attended Coulee Montessori, Logan High School and graduated from Chi-Hi in 2023.
Xavier especially loved staying active and creative. He had a deep passion for making and listening to music and found joy in both soccer and basketball. He proudly played the alto saxophone in band and the viola in orchestra, sharing his talents with those around him. Xavier enjoyed spending time with friends, attending Surf City, participating in Boy Scouts, and playing video games — experiences that helped shape his confidence and character. Whether he was watching movies, working toward making money, or simply enjoying time with the people he loved, Xavier embraced life with enthusiasm and determination.
Xavier was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church youth group, where he made everyone feel welcomed and seen. He had a natural way of drawing people in and participated wholeheartedly in activities, sharing his kindness, energy, and presence with those around him.
Xavier was a natural leader with a magnetic charisma that drew people to him. Cherished deeply by friends and family, his unmistakable smile could brighten anyone’s day. He loved all kinds of food and never seemed to stop eating — a trait that always brought laughter and awe to those around him. Xavier had a special way of making everyone smile, offering help whenever he could, and surprising people with how thoughtful and smart he truly was. He was always dancing or bopping along to music, filling rooms with his joyful energy. From pulling every file out of his mother’s filing cabinet as a child to inventing clever ways to climb and reach anything he set his mind to — including once scaling a double-stacked baby gate — Xavier’s curiosity and determination were unmistakable. And who could forget the unforgettable video of Xavier catching a fish with his mouth at Surf City? Above all, Xavier will be remembered as a passionate and caring soul, a loving and attentive big brother, and a devoted son whose presence made life brighter.
